For when re installing vents is impractical but you still want to fire proof your attic you need vulcan retrofits.

These vents typically use a combination of screening and other design features to resist intrusion of embers and flames. Flame ember resistant gable end vent 14 x 24 retrofit 0 125 screened for retrofitting gable end vents overlapping baffle protection with 1 8 screen backing 24 tall x 14 wide w flange front fits standard 16 stud spacing. Our roof is covered in a peel and stick tar instead of the usual flamable tar paper. Inside our attic space we have 8 inches of spray foam insulation that is extremely fire resistant a lighter held to an edge of the foam did not catch flame.

We can create practically any size you need. Fire protection vents and filters prevent fire embers wind driven rain dust debris and nesting animals and rodents from entering your home through the attic vent. The attic vents through small mesh vents on top of the roof. Soffit vents are available for stucco wood construction foam stucco or retro fit applications.

Installation is a snap. Gable vents provide needed exhaust for hot air from attic space for many configurations. Four vents have recently been accepted for use by the office of the state fire marshal these vents can be used in applications where ember and flame intrusion resistance is required.
